100+ Duplexes and Land Now Available at PMB Estate, Announces Ogun Housing Commissioner

The Ogun State Government has announced that over 100 units of detached and semi-detached duplexes are now open for subscription by the public at the President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) Estate in Abeokuta.

Additionally, plots of land are available for purchase by individuals ready to build their dream homes within the estate.

Housing Commissioner Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi disclosed this on Friday while guiding over 100 Realtors and Estate Agents around the PMB Estate along Kobape Road, Abeokuta.

Highlighting the benefits for subscribers, Hon. Omoniyi mentioned that the estate, built on virgin land with beautiful scenery, will include a shopping mall, perimeter fence and gatehouse, children’s playground, recreational center, and other top-notch facilities.

“This estate will feature amenities comparable to first-class estates globally. It will have security, a mall, a recreational center, a playground for children, and more, making living here a delightful experience.

“The buildings are constructed with the highest quality materials available locally. They boast modern designs with ample space, catering to those who prefer a serene environment away from urban hustle and for Nigerians in the Diaspora seeking familiar comforts,” he said.

Strategically located, the estate is close to the OgunTechHub, the State Judiciary Complex, and just five minutes from the Governor’s Office and 50 minutes from Lagos State. Omoniyi assured that upon full payment, subscribers would receive all their title documents.

Omoniyi explained that the success of the Ibara Regeneration Scheme motivated the government to develop the PMB Estate, increasing housing availability for the populace.

He stated that the tour aimed to inform the housing market by showcasing the facilities to over 100 Realtors and Estate Agents, transforming the previously neglected project into one of the nation’s best estates.

Started by the past administration, the PMB Estate, a site-and-service project, spans over 500 hectares, with the current government developing the first cluster of over 50 hectares.

The more than 100 buildings, consisting of detached and semi-detached duplexes, demonstrate the state government’s capabilities.

Omoniyi lamented that the estate had been neglected with many unfinished and vandalized infrastructures but has now been revitalized into a valuable city for the state’s residents and Nigerians in the Diaspora.

The Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration emphasizes an inclusive housing policy, catering to all state residents.

In the past four years, the administration has provided affordable housing for all income levels, constructing over 4,000 homes in all three Senatorial Districts. Low-income houses range between N10 million and N15 million, medium-income around N70 million, and high-income about N175 million, engaging over 50,000 artisans through direct labour and transforming several villages into smart cities.

Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor on the Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), Prince Farooq Adenugba, highlighted that Cluster 1, under development, includes facilities like a gatehouse, service building, children’s park, clubhouse, street lights, and a drainage system, describing it as “an estate of valleys and hills.”

Adenugba emphasized the high quality of the buildings, comparable with the best globally. The fully detached and semi-detached duplexes include boys’ quarters, with fully detached duplexes on 900 square metres and semi-detached on 500 square metres of land.

Assuring subscribers of value for their money, Adenugba added that the strategically located housing units and fenced clusters would provide security for residents.

Mr. Babatunde Denton, a property practitioner and builder, commended the state government for the project’s strategic location and high standard of infrastructure, envisioning the PMB Estate as a future prime estate.

The General Secretary of the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Nigeria, Ogun State chapter, Mr. Ojikutu Olusola, praised the state government for using quality materials in the buildings, ensuring buyers peace of mind post-purchase.
