Operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) have detained the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.
The detention occurred at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja earlier today.
According to insiders, Ajaero was preparing to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official trip when DSS personnel intervened.
While the exact reasons for his detention remain unknown, sources confirm that Ajaero has been transferred to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
It is noteworthy that Ajaero was expected to attend a Trade Union Congress (TUC) conference in the UK, scheduled for today.
