The Lagos State Police Command has begun an investigation into the murder of Anosikwa Patrick, who was allegedly stabbed by a police officer at Skymall shopping mall in Ajah on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
The police have taken the mall’s manager and chief security officer into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
The officer suspected in the murder has been identified as Inspector Taofeek, a member of the visiting 12 PMF squadron to Lagos. Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, mni, has directed detectives from the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department to ensure a thorough and expedited investigation to bring those responsible to justice.
The Lagos State Police Command assures the public that they will be kept informed as the investigation progresses.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Command, issued a statement confirming the launch of the investigation and the commitment to ensuring justice is served.
