In a remarkable collaboration aimed at making a difference in the lives of physically challenged individuals, DashMe Foundation, spearheaded by former finance minister Kemi Adeosun, has joined forces with Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy to refurbish the renowned Cheshire Home in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Under the banner of the Reach Every Available Communal Household Nigeria Foundation project, initiated by DashMe Foundation, the Cheshire Home, which had fallen into disrepair due to economic challenges, has undergone extensive renovations.
Chairperson of the REACH Nigeria Foundation, Flobetta Halliday, announced that the revitalized facility will be unveiled on Friday, March 1, 2024, in the Borikiri area of Port Harcourt.
Halliday expressed gratitude for the enduring support provided by Cheshire Home to the physically challenged community in Port Harcourt and its surroundings.
She highlighted DashMe Foundation’s commitment to social impact, citing their partnership with Burna Boy as instrumental in bringing hope and renewal to the beneficiaries of Cheshire Home.
Founded in 2021, DashMe Foundation has swiftly emerged as a dynamic, youth-driven social enterprise dedicated to supporting indigenous charities that offer direct assistance to orphans, vulnerable children, disadvantaged youth, and victims of domestic abuse.
In its short existence, DashMe Foundation has already made a significant impact, allocating over N10 million to various transformative projects in collaboration with local charities.
