Timeless Update reports that all political parties participating in the upcoming Local Government Elections in Ogun State have been directed to present their candidates for Councillorship and Chairmanship positions for screening.

The screening will take place between Monday, September 30, and Friday, October 10, 2024, at the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission’s (OGSIEC) headquarters, located beside the Bureau of Lands and Survey, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta. The process will begin at 10:00 am each day.

This announcement was made in a release signed by OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, who emphasized the importance of candidates contacting their party secretariats to confirm their scheduled appearances before the Commission.

“All candidates should contact their party secretariats to confirm their scheduled appearance at the Commission,” Osibodu stated.

The statement further added that candidates are required to present their original credentials and other statutory documents for screening and verification.
