The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to address the economic issues facing Nigerians, warning that a revolution is imminent.
Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, the National Coordinator of CNG, issued this warning during a media briefing on Friday. He highlighted that the economic hardships and widespread poverty are creating conditions for a potential revolt. Charanchi criticized the government’s handling of the economy, describing Tinubu’s economic team as the worst since the start of Nigeria’s civil rule in 1999, and accused them of implementing anti-people policies that benefit only the elite.
The CNG expressed deep concern over the deteriorating economic conditions and called for immediate action to prevent a collapse of the nation. The group noted that inflation and unemployment are exacerbating the suffering of Nigerians, and the government’s response appears to be ineffective and haphazard.
