The Federal Government has announced Wednesday, December 25; Thursday, December 26, 2024; and Wednesday, January 1, 2025, as public holidays to mark Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year celebrations.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement where he extended his warm wishes to all Nigerians. He encouraged citizens to use the festive season as an opportunity to reflect on the values of love, peace, and unity that the celebrations represent.
The Minister highlighted the significance of the season as a time to promote harmony and strengthen relationships within families and communities.
In his message, Tunji-Ojo wished Nigerians a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year, urging them to remain steadfast in their commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of the nation for sustainable development.
