In response to the rise in petrol prices and its effects on transportation costs and living standards, Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved two (2) days off-duty weekly for public officers on Grade Levels 01 – 14.

APPROVED DAY OFF FOR PUBLIC SERVANTS IN OGUN

 

To alleviate the burden on Ogun State’s public service workforce after the increase in petrol prices, Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved two (2) days off per week for officers on Grade Levels 01 – 14. Officers on Grade Levels 15-17 will continue with one (1) day off per week.

 

2. This initiative is designed to ease commuting difficulties, improve worker morale, and boost productivity by fostering a more energized workforce.

 

 

3. Accounting Officers are to implement this policy across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) immediately, ensuring that operations are not affected by staggered staff days off. Appropriate measures should also be put in place to ensure compliance.
