The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has officially unveiled the #OneNigeriaUnityFabric, a project designed to symbolize the nation’s unity. In a message shared on her official Twitter page, she expressed her joy, saying, “Today, as we unveil the #OneNigeriaUnityFabric, my heart is full of joy.”
Inspired by her 2023 visit to Zimbabwe, the initiative was introduced through the Renewed Hope Initiative and brought to life by the creativity of young Nigerians. “This fabric represents our nation’s unity and was inspired by my visit to Zimbabwe in 2023, where I saw a similar initiative,” she said.
Special recognition was given to Miss Bamidele Mofiyinfoluwa, whose design was selected to represent Nigeria’s diverse culture. Senator Tinubu noted, “Miss Bamidele Mofiyinfoluwa’s design embodies our diverse culture and will be proudly worn on Independence Day and other national celebrations.”
She also highlighted the broader impact of the project, stating, “This project will support local textile industries, create jobs, and celebrate Nigeria’s strength as one united nation.” Senator Tinubu congratulated all participants, remarking, “Your talent is our future!”
The #OneNigeriaUnityFabric aims to celebrate the nation’s unity while boosting the local textile industry and creating new opportunities for employment. “God bless Nigeria,” the First Lady concluded.
