The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has reached an agreement with Dangote Refinery for direct product supply.

IPMAN’s National President, Abubakar Garima, made this known during a press briefing on Monday in Abuja after a meeting of the Association’s National Working Committee.

Garima stated that this partnership aims to guarantee a stable and affordable supply of PMS products across the country.

“Following discussions with Aliko Dangote and his management team in Lagos, we are pleased to announce that Dangote Refinery has agreed to supply IPMAN with PMS, AGO, and DPK directly for distribution to our depots and retail outlets,” he said.

He encouraged IPMAN members to support Dangote Refinery, highlighting the advantages of backward integration and its positive influence on Nigeria’s foreign exchange market.

“IPMAN members should rely on Dangote Refinery and other Nigerian refineries for white products, enhancing job creation and aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda,” Garima added.

This development concludes several months of negotiations and is expected to boost efficiency, affordability, and economic growth.

The Dangote Refinery, noted as the largest in Africa and Europe, has already begun producing petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel, with plans to supply over 30,000 IPMAN members and 150,000 retail outlets nationwide.

This strategy aims to cut out intermediaries, reduce costs, and ensure a consistent product supply.
