The Ogun State House of Assembly will start the mid-year budget performance review for various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) on Monday, July 22, 2024. This review aims to evaluate their adherence to the 2024 Appropriation Law.
A statement from the Clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, noted that this review, part of the legislature’s oversight functions to enhance accountability and transparency, is conducted under sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended).
The budget performance review will begin at 10:00 am daily and conclude on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
The statement urged all MDAs to provide necessary documents and information to ensure the exercise’s success.
