As the New Year approaches, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing in Ogun State, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, FCA, FCTI, has extended warm greetings to the people of the state. In a statement released on behalf of the management and staff of all agencies in the housing sector, Omoniyi wished residents a prosperous 2025, expressing hope that the year brings new opportunities and blessings.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to sustainable development, Omoniyi announced plans to round off several housing initiatives in 2025. These include the completion of eco-friendly homes under the GRA Regeneration Schemes in Ibara, Idi Aba (Abeokuta), and Igbeba (Ijebu Ode). Other key projects include the PMB Estate in Kobape, the commissioning of Prince Court Estates in Sagamu, Ijebu Ode, and Ilaro, as well as the Gateway Aviation Village in Iperu.
Furthermore, new site and service schemes are set to be unveiled in Ayetoro, Odeda, Ijebu Ode, Saapade, and Beaurecrat Estate, Kobape Abeokuta. These developments aim to enhance access to affordable housing across Ogun State.
The Commissioner encouraged residents to embrace the benefits of the newly developed smart cities spanning the three senatorial districts of the state, which are designed to promote a balanced lifestyle of living, working, and recreation.
