In today’s ongoing local government elections in Ogun State, chaos erupted at the Igan polling booth in Ikija, Ijebu East Local Government Area.
Allegedly, the PDP councillorship candidate mobilized thugs armed with axes to disrupt the voting process.
The incident caused panic among voters and temporarily halted the electoral activities.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the situation, as security forces have restore order and are on standby to ensure a peaceful conclusion to the election.
