Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre, Executive Chairman of Obafemi-Owode Local Government, received the “Best Performing Local Government Executive Chairman Award” on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Secretariat in Ogun State, near the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBDC).
According to the Chairman of the Ogun NLC, Comrade Segun Benco, the award recognizes and highlights the remarkable achievements of Chairman Amb. Ogunsola, particularly in the areas of road rehabilitation, drilling boreholes in various communities, supplying transformers, and bolstering security within the local government area (LGA).
Comrade Benco remarked that the award event was also a testament to the enduring spirit of excellence and dedicated public service that characterizes the leadership of Amb. Ogunsola.
Amb. Ogunsola, known for his effective governance and service to the LGA, has been recognized for his administration’s achievements and transparency since assuming office, which others should aim to replicate.
While speaking with the Ogun State Television crew and other journalists at the event, Amb. Ogunsola expressed his gratitude for the recognition and praised the Ogun NLC for honoring his work. He dedicated the award to the people of the LGA and thanked them for their continued support.
Amb. Ogunsola encouraged residents of the LGA to keep supporting his administration and the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, FCA, by contributing to the progress of Ogun State.
Other notable recipients of the Meritorious Award included Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the Ogun State Government, and Comrade Kehinde O. Onasanya, Ogun State Head of Service.
