The Osun State branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, on grounds of alleged anti-party conduct.
In a report submitted to the APC National Secretariat and directed to National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, the Osun APC accused Aregbesola of fostering division within the party by establishing a breakaway faction.
The state party chapter noted that this development has threatened party unity, especially during a significant period in Osun’s political scene.
The APC claimed that Aregbesola’s actions have deepened internal rifts.
Aregbesola’s camp has yet to comment on the suspension.
