Daily Trust reported that in a declaration released in Abuja, Frank strongly objected to a recent Federal High Court decision that mandated the confiscation of the monthly allocations made to the state. He explained that the court’s ruling was a part of a larger plan to either force Fubara to join the APC or impeach him.
He pointed out that it was telling that the president had said nothing about the alleged constitutional abuses committed by the police and courts in Rivers State.
In Frank’s opinion, “Already all security agencies and federal government institutions are against Fubara because they have been directed to ensure that Fubara succumbs to the President’s wishes or be removed.”
“There will definitely be consequences for any illegal action aimed at destabilizing Rivers State or intimidating, persecuting, and removing Fubara from office.”
“Rivers’ people and the Niger Delta will resist it to the extent that the entire country will feel the impact as the President will not be able to quell the unimaginable uprising that will result from the action.”
He emphasized that the people of Rivers State are united in their support for Fubara and urged him to continue being steadfast in his commitment to the people and to protect Rivers State’s sovereignty.
Frank emphasized the significance of prompt action, calling on the international community to act before the situation worsens and becomes a crisis.
He added that peace is necessary for the region’s multinational oil companies to operate efficiently and emphasized the urgency of resolving the current tension to prevent more issues.
