Edo North Senator Adams Oshiomhole declared on Wednesday that there is no possibility of a regime or military takeover in Nigeria.
Oshiomhole stated that it’s impossible for an anonymous group to call for regime change.
Some protesters under the EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement had called for the removal of President Bola Tinubu’s administration due to the ongoing hardships in the country.
However, speaking on Arise News Morning Show, the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader said: “There is no possibility for regime change or military takeover. It’s impossible for an anonymous group to call for regime change.
“I commend Tinubu’s patience and his approach to addressing these issues. He said I have listened and heard you, but I want to see the opening of industries as this will combat hunger.
“At no point did I advocate for a regime change during my protest days, now I see politicians attempting to hijack these protests.
“A peaceful protest can be used to highlight regime change.”
