The President announced the honour at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, during the opening of the Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona School of Governance Studies and the launch of the book titled, “Reinventing Governance in Nigeria: The Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona Model.”
The President, represented by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, said that the award recognizes Oba Adetona’s remarkable service to the nation and his significant role in fostering humanity.
