A 35-year-old woman, Jumoke Ayoola, appeared in an Iyaganku chief magistrates’ court in Ibadan on Friday, accused of threatening to kill her husband.

 

Mrs. Ayoola, whose address was not disclosed, faced a charge of threat to kill and pleaded not guilty.

 

According to the prosecutor, Insp. Akeem Akinloye, the defendant committed the offense on July 4, around 1:00 p.m., in the Oluyole area of Ibadan.

 

Mr. Akinloye stated that the defendant had allegedly hired individuals to murder her husband, Jide, following a dispute between them.

 

The prosecutor noted that this action contravened Section 86 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
