The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially unveiled the timetable for the acquisition of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for its forthcoming Governorship Primary Election in Ondo State.
The sales window is scheduled to commence on April 3 and close on April 10, paving the way for the primary election slated for April 25.
This declaration comes as the party prepares for the electoral process, adhering strictly to the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022, as amended, in conjunction with relevant sections of the Nigerian Constitution.
Sulaiman Argungun, the APC’s National Organizing Secretary, confirmed the dates in a statement issued via the party’s X (formerly Twitter) handle.
Following the primary election, the party has also set April 26 for the primary election appeal, providing an avenue to address any grievances arising from the primary election process.
He remarked, “In line with the applicable sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Electoral Act 2022, the APC hereby publicizes its timetable and schedule of activities leading to the 16th November, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo state as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.”
The ruling party has fixed the expression of interest form at N10 million, while the nomination form is priced at N40 million.
As customary, female aspirants and individuals with disabilities are only required to purchase the expression of interest form, as the nomination form is exempted.
